Who will win ? FIFA World cup Match Predictions

Since 2014 World Cup , Many national teams have developed very talented young players and amazing squad depth.France , Belgium , Spain and Brazil have that luxury of both talent and squad depth.Argentina has arguably greatest of all time (Some preferred GOAT) player Lionel Messi with an experienced team.
But a team cannot reply on talent and squad depth to win a world cup. It requires more adaptability , professional approach , ruthless streak and experience of handling pressure of such an occasion to win a tournament.
France , as we saw in Euro 2016 , lacked that sharp edge in final where could not penetrate Portuguese(!!!) defense with all that talent.Belgium is nowhere near to beat a well organized team.Brazil is good may be better than last tournament but It always takes a moment to break that team in pieces ( 2006 ,2010 Quarter Final , 2014 Semi Final , recent Copa Americas).Argentina’s heavy reliance on Messi did cost them every time.
But If we see all these factors , Germany , as I see , is the most favorite to win world cup. They have all it takes to win a big tournament. Their squad depth is as good as any team so is talent. But its their approach to tournament which makes them team to beat. They adapt with situation whether its tactical or missing player(or players). They have experienced player (in terms of international caps) who are young. They have lost couple of good players to retirement after 2014 but replaced them with young and talented ones. But more to that , Germany has changed their playing style so they don’t miss Lahm or Schweinsteiger.
So I think , Its Germany who is favorite to win. If any other team who wishes to be champion , they surely have to beat Germany at one point in tournament ( as we had seen in recent world cups!!)

some predictions for the world cup finalists in FIFA world cup 2018?

1. Germany have lost a few games since their triumph in Brazil, but they still possess the best squad in the world. And will be the odds on favorite to retain the cup in Russia.
2. France are the most inform team in Europe at the moment. They are the favorites to win the Euro 2016 which they are hosting. This is a young team which is likely to get better by the time the World Cup arries.
3. Argentina: Will likely be Messi's last chance to win the trophy. And a team having a hungry and inspired Messi has to be among the favorites.
4. Brazil: Since the world cup France were on an unbeaten streak at home until Dunga's men beat them 2-0 in Paris. Neymar has been growing fast since joining Barcà and the time the World Cup arrives he could be the in the league of Messi and CR7. Dunga has a young squad at his disposal which could be at its peak by the time the WC arrives.
5. England & Belgium: Both have a pool of talented players but are known to be traditional underachievers.
6. Spain: This team has undergone the most rapid change in one year since the World Cup. With talented players like Isco, Alcantara, Morata, De Gea filling up the holes in the team left by the Golden Generation, Spain will again become a forcd to reckon with.

Who is best in the FIFA World Cup 2018, Ronaldo or Messi?
Reflecting on La Liga this season, Messi is statistically superior to Ronaldo in almost all aspects, with an average rating per game of 8.52 vs 7.97 (SofaScore Rating).
These are some of the stats(Messi vs Ronaldo):
  • - Goals (25 vs 22)
  • - Assists (12 vs 5).
  • - Big chances created (30 vs 9)
  • - Key passes per game (2.8 vs 1.4)
  • - Successful dribbles (5.3 vs 1.3)
  • - Scoring Frequency (92 mins vs 98 mins)

But bear in mind, Messi played more games than Ronaldo (27 vs 23), which explained the scoring frequency regardless of Messi scoring more.
Looking at this number alone, Messi would be the overall winner. However, soccer is always about how well the team works together. Individual talent will only carry the team so far.
Portugal’s Ronaldo is not the same as Madrid’s Ronaldo, the same goes to Messi. They are playing in a totally different environment, with different set of players, coaches, tactics, etc.
Portugal was Euro Cup 2016 winner and Argentina was the World Cup 2014’s runner-up. So, they have, by any means, a very strong squad. It will be interesting to see how far they can go in this coming World Cup!
